Travancore Heritage Gardens project is located at Trivandrum, the capital city of Kerala, India. It’s managed by the Travancore Heritage Gardens Private Limited Company.
This project theme originated by the academic forum of Travancore Malayalee Council and its developed with the blessings and direction of our late Maharaja of Travancore Sree Padmanabhadasa Sree Uthradom Thirunal Marthanda Varma.
‘Travancore’ was a princely state located at the extreme southern tip of the Indian subcontinent. Travancore was an Indian kingdom from 1729 until 1949. It was ruled by the Travancore Royal Family from Padmanabhapuram, and later Thiruvananthapuram.
In the early 19th century, the kingdom became a princely state of the British Empire. The Travancore Government took many progressive steps on the socio-economic front and during the reign of Maharajah Sri Chithira Thirunal Balarama Varma, Travancore became the second most prosperous princely state in British India, with reputed achievements in education, political administration, public work and social reforms.
‘Travancore Malayalee Council’ is an academic forum to study & research about Travancore history and heritage. The aims of our association are to coordinate the Historical documents of princely states in India and to establish a Travancore Heritage Study Center and Library in Kerala. The members of the Royal Family of Travancore and eminent researchers are assured their full support for this noble project. The various studies and explorations will be conducted in the coming days to the history and developments which happened during the past glorious days of Travancore.
Travancore Malayalee Council has a committed team working with the blessings of Sree Padmanabhadasa Sree Uthradom Tirunal Marthanda Varma. Our first project (Travancore History Conference & History Exhibition) was inaugurated by Princess Aswathi Tirunal Gouri Lakshmi Bayi on 21’st August 2010 at Sree Chithira Thirunal Balarama Varma Maharaja Nagar, Ranny.
‘Travancore Heritage Gardens’ is our master project; it will be functioning with the blessings of God and the well-wishers of Travancore Royal family.

To create Garden Villas & Retirement Home in the premises of Travancore Heritage Gardens.

To establish ‘Travancore Vasthuvidya Gurukulam’ in the premises of Travancore Heritage Gardens for the promotion of Travancore traditional architecture and mural painting.
To establish an education centre ‘Travancore Kalakshetra’ for the promotion of Travancore Arts & Culture.
